Galaxies in the Universe
A galaxy is a group of millions or even billions of stars paired with dust and gas. These groups of stars are held together by gravitational attractions.
Our solar system is located in the outer part of the Milky Way Galaxy. There are unknown numbers of galaxies in our universe. Within every galaxy there is about 400 billion to 500 billion stars. The largest galaxy found in the universe is IC 1101. The largest galaxies are ellipse and give off a red/yellow light. When blue light is given off it is because young stars are present.
